Spectacle Brook was influenced to a great extent by human activities degrading fish habitat. This has caused over widening and ribbing in the stream channel. Restoration work will continue upstream with the installation of  instream structures (approximately 12 digger logs/deflectors)  and possible spawning channel constructed depending on assessment. Bank stabilization will also be needed.
