PCRA will carry out stream habitat restoration work on two tributaries of the East River Pictou County; Sam Cameron Brook and Archibalds Brook.  We will conduct fish habitat assessment surveys on 5 or 6 additional tributaries of the East River and incorporate those streams into the Watershed Management Plan for the East River. On Six-Mile Brook, West River, we are seeking funding from another source to repair a badly eroded section of the brook where it passes beside an old rock quarry. We will be looking for technical support and advice from the NSLC Adopt A Stream personnel for that work. We will continue to monitor water quality in the 7 main rivers in Pictou County throughout the summer months.
